Happy Valentines Day to all!!!! I have to explain that the website I use for blogging on my website (blogger), has east coast time- so I swear that I am not staying up till 1 and 2am!!! That said....update time!
I had my bodyfat testing done yesterday!!! Great news :) My bodyfat was at 7.3%, weighing in at 130lbs= 9.5lbs bodyfat, and 120# of lean mass! So it looks like I may have to re-evaluate my goal of being 120# at contest...hee hee hee
Either that, or I have to do a lot of long distance running in the next 8 weeks! I was really excited about my results- I still have 8 weeks to go! So, that means that I can "ease" myself into contest shape. No drastic dieting :) I have to say a big THANK YOU to my friend Jenny Cruikshank for coming over to my gym and spending the whole doing body comps on my clients! Jenny is the best- and if you want to contact her for body compositions her email is coachjenny@healthhorizons.com
Victoria Adelus from News Channel 21 is doing a news piece about me.....she was with me all day yesterday (from start to finish!!!). We had a great time talking and filming- all while I trained clients! (Big thank you to my clients who participated in interviews- I know it's not easy for shy girls!) Victoria is really easy to talk to.....I can see why she is so good at what she does :) We finished out our day together at tumbling class last night. It was a little odd to have someone filming me all day....but towards the end it got a lot easier. I think I may even have convinced Victoria to do her first competition.....wink wink!!! I'm workin on her!
The news story is set to run in late April....after my competition in NY. She wants to capture the whole contest prep process from start to finish.....so it will take us a few months to get all the info for the story :) As it gets closer- I will let everyone know when it will air.
Well, it is midnight- so off to bed I go! Train hard- no excuses! Love ya,
Tami
p.s. I leave you with a quote to ponder:
"The desire to win is useless without the desire to prepare."
Always remember that the journey is the best part. Competing is wonderful- but it's the journey there that teaches us SO much. I remind myself of this every single day while dieting (as I am fighting cravings, not wanting to do my cardio, etc....LOL)
