I think I have decided to compete in the NY pro fitness competition in April of next year......I have officially started cleaning up my diet.....fun fun! I am on the gainer portion of it, which is pretty easy at this point:) I think I can handle 3 cheat meals on the weekends! I lifted back and biceps tonight....I am going to hurt tomorrow! (At this very moment, I am sitting here with a bag of frozen peas on my right rear delt- my neck and rear shoulder are cramping up something fierce!) I was able to do 150# reverse grip lat pull downs for 11 reps tonight. My forearms were screaming by the time my back failed!

I am having a ball training heavy....there is just nothing like it! What a natural high:) Hopefully, my shoulders and back will start growing from all this torture:) I am already seeing much more thickness.....but the important thing is, will it stay while I am dieting down this winter?..... Luckily, my butt and thighs are staying leaner than they have in past off seasons. I think that is coming from a more consistent diet over the past year.

Well, my shoulder is aching pretty good now, so I am going to lay down with my bag of peas and some ibuprofen! I hope everyone's holiday was a good one....competition season is right around the corner:) Train hard, no excuses (not even a hurt shoulder...ha ha ha)! Love ya,

Tami

I am still completely full from dinner!!! We ate 7 hours ago.....isn't that insane? We had all the family over to our house. (I bet you all thought I couldn't cook "real" food:) There is something SO great about eating "bad" food with people you really love:) I lifted SO heavy on my back and biceps yesterday that it was a challenge to lift the 20# turkey in and out of the oven today:) I am so sore, I almost felt sick.
Shall I do a run down of all that I ate??? My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is always stuffing! So, half a plate of that, with fruit salad (real homemade whipping cream), mashed potatoes and gravy, and of course candied yams.....just made with a "little" brown sugar and marshmallows:) So, as you can see....it was a carb fest!!! I fell into a coma for most of the afternoon. I attempted to watch Survivor, but slept through most of it. Luckily it was TiVo'ed, so I watched it when I finally woke up:) I made a pecan pie...my favorite:) Have you ever looked up the fat and sugar content of a pecan pie....oh my GOD! It has upwards of about 20 grams of fat per slice! You might as well just rub it on my thighs...hee hee hee.
So, tomorrow my Mom and I are braving the insanity, and will be leaving the house to go shopping at 6am. This is a big tradition to us. You know what is crazy about it? Most of the time, I am so impatient with big crowds and pushy people, but for some reason- none of that bothers me on this shopping day..... I don't go postal, or try to kill anybody! (Like I usually would....ha ha ha) Well, I must go to bed to get ready for my big day tomorrow. Come Saturday, it's all business with my workouts! I've got to work off the extra 4000 calories I consumed today:) I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was a blessed one! Train hard, no excuses! Love ya,

Tami

Hellooooooo, it's me again:) I have had a busy couple of weeks lately. I am all healed from my hernia surgery.....well almost all healed:) I am back lifting, but certain things still hurt a little. At the moment, I can barely lift my arms up because my shoulders are SO sore. I am eating "clean", but probably not eating enough calories overall. I am starting to get back to my regular workout routine, but I am finding it difficult to fit in with all my training clients.

On Friday, I came down with a horrible cold. I cannot believe the human body can make this much mucus....yuck! Thank God, I am not scheduled at the hospital for a few days....I hate working when I am sick....not to mention that I shouldn't be there if I am sick! My kids have the cold too, so we are all just a barrel of laughs to be around...ha ha ha I think I may OD on Nyquil....I have taken so much in the last 3 days, that it isn't even making me sleepy anymore....isn't that sad?

So, on to more fitness related news.....My bestest buddy Michelle Mayberry competed at nationals this weekend in Miami. I felt she deserved her pro card, but the judges did not agree with me....:( She placed 3rd, which is awesome! But, not the result she was hoping for. She is a champion to me though!!!! No one could ask for a more loyal and devoted friend.....she is one of a kind:) Congrats to all the girls who did get their pro cards.....see you next season;)

Well, I must get to bed early tonight. Tomorrow, I am babysitting my best friends baby, who is only 7 months old. Everyone pray for me....ha ha ha. I haven't cared for a baby that young in a long time! I just love him, though:) He is precious! I will try to write soon, y'all. Train hard, no excuses! Love ya,

Tami
