Congratulations to my two best fitness friends, Karen Patten and Michelle Mayberry!!!! Karen won her class at Team Universe Fitness Nationals, and won her IFBB Pro card!!! Michelle placed 3rd in the tall class in fitness, and got first call out in both of the physique rounds!!! I love you girls, and I am SO proud of you!
Well, I received some bad news 2 weeks ago.....The Pro fitness was cancelled at the Sacramento Pro in November...so I will not be able to do any Pro contests this year. The only other contests that I can do, are on the same weekends that I am supposed to be guest posing at regional contests....I was so devastated when I found out, I had my heart set on this contest in November. So, the plan is to do the New York Pro Fitness in April of 2007. Oh well, everything happens for a reason:)
I am training hard to lean out for my guest posings (since I have no contest to do:). I am doing twice daily cardio and eating SO clean. I live for my cheat meals...my last one was great- big steak, baked potato loaded, and then a blizzard from Dairy Queen:) ( I got an Oreo blizzard and dipped Oreo cookies in it....yes, I know I'm sick:) I have been biking a lot here lately for my cardio- I can't bear to run in the heat right now.....it's been about 102 degrees every day this week. I am doing my evening cardio between 9 and 10pm every night after it cools off to a chilly 80 degrees:) You could play connect the dots between all of my mosquito bites on my body......(I live in the middle of farms and irrigation). Anyway, I am not complaining- I love the warm weather.
I am working hard on my new routine....since it is just for guest posings at this point, I am trying to make it really entertaining....with a lot more dance in it. My 8 year old has started sprinting the stadium steps with me in the mornings....thinks she is quite the stud:) She is going to be a little athletic dynamo, but at different things than her mama:) I was into dance and gymnastics, and she is much more interested in soccer, and volleyball. She's a definite jock....she gets very mad in PE when any of the boys run faster than her. I LOVE it!
My son just enjoys riding his bike around the track while I run......he's Mr easy going.
The count down to meeting my bone marrow recipient is on!!! 4 months to go, and hopefully I can meet her. All the updates I am getting from the National Marrow Donor organization say that she is doing better than expected, and is back to her normal life:) I wonder if she has started getting any of my cravings yet....maybe she is developing a craving for boiled chicken???? ha ha ha
Well, I should get to bed....lots of training to do tomorrow. Have a great week everyone....train hard-no excuses!!!! Talk soon,
Tami
