Hello everyone!!! I still have my CRAZY life going on....working 50 hours per week between the hospital and my training gym. I am prepping for my guest posing in May, and I'm sore ALL the time! LOL My shoulder is doing SO much better, and I am really hoping it stays that way! I will be performing my "money" routine, and I have been running it in sections. It's coming along...
I have some GREAT news! I am going to be featured in Max Muscle Magazine in May!!! They just interviewed me last week. I have to give a big thank you to Dominic at Max Muscle in Bend, OR. He recommended me to the magazine, I really owe you Dom!!!! Thanks buddy!

All my girls are competing in the Vancouver classic today. I so wish I was there...but family obligations are always more important. They have been updating me all day... :)

Well peeps, I must go! Train hard- NO excuses!!!

Love ya,

Tami

I know, I know.....It has been WAY too long! I must admit that I have gotten a little addicted to My Space!!! So, if you want to have contact with me on a daily basis- shoot me a friend request :)

So, here is my life in a nutshell.....My kids started back to school- 5th grade, and 3rd grade. They seem to grow right before my eyes! I swear that they look different after school compared with before school.....

We spent a pretty quiet summer this year, with gas prices going through the roof and all.....our sand dunes trips were kept to a minimum. We took 3 trips total. My husband bought me a new YFZ450 4-wheeler. It is a limited edition, beaver colors!!! The orange and black looks SO hot! I'm having fun racing all of the boys that we ride with. Hubby says he will be doing all the mods on mine- but if I start beating him- he will "take all the fast shit off"...LOL The kids have moved up to faster 4-wheelers now....so it will be a matter of time, and they will be wanting mods done to their's too....:)

I am not planning on doing any contests for the rest of this season. I had a pretty significant wrist and shoulder injury after the NY Pro in April....the only way they would begin to heal was to completely leave them alone. The wrist is better now, but the shoulder is still giving me trouble. It hurts the same whether I lift or not....so I am lifting pretty light, but still using it. I am trying to do massage therapy and electrical stim treatments every week. It is hard to see all my friends competing....but I have to say that I am LOVING spending more time with my family, and NOT DIETING!!!! I haven't gone this long without dieting strictly since 2003. My husband is getting really spoiled, and I don't know if he will ever let me go back to competing :)

I have been really disappointed in the judging of the pro contests this year....people placing way above or below what they deserve, with no possible explanation other than politics (who you know, and who you ?!#$)...... My friend Sandra Wickham from Canada- got completely screwed at the Europa....I have never seen her look that good- and they totally ignored her! What a tragedy! Seeing this makes me kind of glad to be taking a break.

My only plans on the horizon are to guest pose for the Bill Pearl Classic in Bend, Or in May of next year. I just really feel the need to refuel and re-energize my mind, body, and spirit right now. My children are only small once....I will never get this time back with them. I will always be an IFBB pro- I really do have a lot of years to compete. My friend Michelle Mayberry is doing fitness at 43....I've got plenty of time :) So, for now....I am still training clients, and training myself when I have the time and desire :) No pressure!!!!

I love to hear from you guys, give me feedback on what you all think of the pro placings at these contests. Take care, Train hard- No excuses! Love ya,

Tami

Hello everyone!!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We had a blast camping all weekend, but I had a difficult time transitioning into my new diet.......I am 11 weeks out from the Europa Pro Fitness. I did a little too much eating, and not enough cardio this weekend!!! I am back on the wagon now though.

I want to say a HUGE congratulations to my good friend and fellow IFBB pro Kristi Tauti from Beaverton. She placed third in her pro figure contest in California last weekend!!!! So that means that she is OLYMPIA bound!!!! What an accomplishment Kristi- you deserve it!

I have had a lot of people ask me where they can see the recent news story about me, so here is the link:

So, I have told you all that I am training for a 217 mile relay race in August....I am one of 12 people on my team. We are each responsible for running 18 miles over a 2 day period. I will try to keep you updated on my distance and running times, so here is week one: I ran 4.8 miles in 44 minutes 2 nights ago (so I think that is about an average of a 9 minute mile) which I am SO excited about. My husband informed me that I am NOT a very pretty runner....LOL. I am a little "stomper" and I run like a wrestler....he said. Well, I am a gymnast!!!! Its logical that I would run like a stocky little gymnast :) LOL You gotta love a truthful man....it keeps me humble....hee hee hee. He doesn't let me start thinking that I'm "all that"!

Well, off to prepare my meals for tomorrow. Train hard, no excuses!!!! Love ya,

Tami

We made it home from Africa safe and sound.....exhausted, but very happy! We had a magical time, words cannot express the beauty that we saw. The hunting was incredible, and I have taken over 800 photos! Here are a few :)

My little man was the first person to get an animal on our trip!!! He beat his Dad and his sister!!! He took a gold medal Red Hartebeest!

This is Trent's pride and joy!!! His gold medal Kudu!!!

This is MY favorite part of Africa!!! The tame cheetahs: Jessica and Jane

My baby girl shot her first animal ever! A blesbuck

As you can see.....I spent a lot of time with the cheetahs :)

A beautiful Namibian sunset

To all my buddies.....I thought this picture would give you a good laugh! Rockin the "Save Fitness" campaign- even in Africa!!!!!

*Coming Home* Do we look like we have been flying for 20 hours???? This was taken in Chicago- we still have 4 hours of flying ahead of us!!!

I have SO many kudos to give to all of my clients that competed in the Bill Pearl Classic and the Oregon Ironman while I was gone to Africa!!!! But, I want to post some pictures of them on a post all by itself!!!! So, I will do that in the next day or two! Congrats ladies....you worked SO hard and you deserved your wonderful placings!!!

I am off to bed for tonight! Train Hard- no excuses!!! Love ya,

Tami

p.s. I am 12 weeks out from the Europa!!!!!!!!! No more vacation eating! It's time to get crackin!

I actually watched the news story about me tonight!!! :) In the past, I have never been able to watch myself on video (not even my contest performances.....no kidding). I am way too critical of myself.....but I forced myself to watch the special on Z21 tonight. I have to say that Victoria Adelus did an incredible job on it! She spent SO much time with me, interviewing me, video taping, and researching on what I do. She really captured the whole process that I go through to get ready for a contest. Thank you Victoria for all your hard work!!! You made all my hard work look good....LOL :)

The count down is on for the BILL PEARL CLASSIC next weekend!!!! We are holding our last posing class tomorrow for all our Central Oregon Bodybuilding Assoc athletes. I am SO proud of my girls- they have really worked hard these last 3 months! I'm telling everyone that they should go to this contest- support our local athletes!!! This contest is going to be a blast, and it is being MC'd by the morning show guys from the PEAK 104.1. They have great guest posers who will not disappoint!!!! One of them is my bestest friend Michelle Mayberry who is sub-guest posing for me....she will definitely impress everyone.

Well, I am off to bed....I had to work my mandatory night call last night at the hospital and didn't get into bed until 2:30am (then up at 8am to train clients). So I am a tad bit tired :) Train hard everyone- no excuses! Love ya,

Tami

EMERALD CUP PICTURES!!!!!!! After a fun filled weekend, I am SO exhausted- but it was a total blast! I worked the Labrada booth Friday and Saturday (morning and night shows) with my good friend Jimmy Galindo from Labrada. I can always count on him to keep me laughing and having a great time....Life is NEVER boring with Jimmy around :)

I have included a few pictures for you guys, I have more to include when I have more time. These are some of my favs- Me and Klubo with Victor Martinez comparing biceps...LOL, and one of my friends Karen Tinker and I "having a little gun show...." LOL. The other pics are of Jimmy and I.

I am still dealing with all of the post contest depression stuff....it is so hard to watch all your hard work (that it took 12 weeks to take off)- go away in the time frame of 2 weeks!!! I know that I have to put on more muscle- so I can't stay that lean....it's not livable. It's just hard......I am still trying to prepare all of my meals the night before and keep them in the fridge. I would just like to get some of this extra edema off of my body! I am a big puff ball right now- I can't wear my rings, and my tennis shoes are too tight! The rebound water weight gain is terrible this time for some reason....It should work itself out in the next week- meanwhile- I am going to keep training. That always makes me feel better :)

Train hard- no excuses! Love ya,

Tami
